Hi guys, so this just popped into my mind and I wanted to see if anyone had answers to it. So if you enabled shadow mode on your computer, made changes to the computer and before you get the chance to exit shadow mode your computer gets a BSOD. Do you think that shadow defender would be able to revert the changes even with the BSOD?

Can anyone confirm this data corruption bug?

I noticed in the thread over at Wilders that some people were occasionally experiencing lost applications settings, reset windows settings and such when using Shadow Defender. All of these symptoms could be traced to corrupt files, and so far I've been able to reproduce the phenomenon on 2 physical machines (albeit running in a VM).
It seems no one else has really tried to systematically replicate the error so far.
Here's what I did:

Does SD supports and protects UEFI/GPT?
As per title can SD runs on UEFI/GPT computers and protects the GPT like its protection of the MBR?
I'm using MS tablets which have UEFI/GPT.

I was trial testing the latest version of SD (with default settings) on my MS SP4 tablet with Win 10 Pro 64-bit and FCU installed. Nothing on SD exclusion list
The security software I have include
1) Webroot SecureAnywhere AV (WSA AV) - The reason I chose this is because it's sig-less and offers online/offline real-time protection
2) SuperAntiSpware Pro - As a small complement to WSA AV for real-time online/offline protection. I have the paid version so might as well use it.

Shadow Defender stopped working
Today I noticed Shadow Defender won't start up. The service is running.
Only thing I have changed is updating to latest insider build and Marcrium Reflect. Tried removing Marcrium Reflect but that did no help. Wondering if anyone else is seeing this? I hate to go back to the previous build of Insider build. Insider build 17063

Did Shadow Defender failed me?
I was testing the Annabelle ransomware in Shadow Mode. Everything went fine until I decided to allow the execution of the malware to see how it attacks. It was blocked by 360TS on execution even though it wasn't detected by static scan. I got a BSOD 0x0F4. So I had to shut down and restart the PC by pressing the power button.
Booting with Shadow Mode off, what greeted me next is "Server execution failed" when I ran Explorer. This doesn't look good.

Warning if you are an insider build
About three insider builds ago I found when using shadow mode then exiting it my computer would not boot.
I had to use Marcrium fix to boot to get my computer back. I had to do this at least three times. I told the dev about it via email and never heard back so am guessing in the not to distant future SD will not be able to use in Windows 10 and the dev does not care. The dev keeps ignoring me and hopes I will go away.

Files are not deleted when Shadow Mode is turned off
I’ve been messing around with SD and it seems like if I start shadow mode in drive D (for instance) and then launch a program from drive D, if that program needs to save something in the Users directory which is located in the C drive then when shadow mode is turned off the file is not deleted.
Do I have to turn shadow mode on for my entire system if I do not want that to happen?

Do Shadow Defender shadow mode all partitions on the drive? Especially the drive has Windows installed?

For instance, my C drive with Windows installed have 3 partitions listed in Disk Management( Recovery, EFI System Partition, and OS). If I select my C drive to be shadow, will all partitions whether it is hidden or not on the C drive shadow mode as well?

Just finished my trial, but have a few privacy concerns about Shadow Defender
Hi everyone! My trial for Shadow Defender had just ended and I wanna go ahead and purchase it but I have one concern - Shadow Defender seems to be based in China, and since the program is running on startup and cannot be closed even if Shadow Mode is off, I was wondering if the program doesn't do anything malicious like uploading your data to a remote server? Sending usage information? Anything like that?

Formatted my PC and installed Shadow Defender, 2 of my drives are missing
I just formatted my PC and installed Shadow Defender, all my drives are formatted as NTFS and only my Windows SSD (C![:)]( "Smile :)")
is shown. Before formatting all my drives were shown, I have 2 HDDs.
If I connect an external HDD SD detects it but I have no idea why it doesn't detect my 2 internal HDDs

Encrypt write cache
Does anyone enable this feature in shadow defender? I have never used it and is there any advantage to use it?

Shadow Defender can use RAM as write cache. When write cache is enabled, Shadow Defender will write all the changes into the cache. This will increase the disk access speed. And when the write cache is exhausted, all the write operations will be redirected to disk seamlessly.

How would Shadow Defender deal with this situation?
Assume I have 2 drives C and D.
Assume that my drive D is my backup drive and data drive. On drive D I have my folder called Backups and in that folder I have my Acronis Backups of C.
Now assume that I have shadow defender made to shadow C and D. I presume that all of the real-time backups that Acronis makes of C and places it into D will be deleted once I reboot the computer due to it being shadowed?
So in order to save the real-time backups I will have to exclude the Backups folder on...
